Veteran Nollywood actress Efe Orhorha has opened up about the extraordinary journey that led to her two-decade-long marriage with her actor husband, describing their union as divinely orchestrated.
The screen icon revealed she never imagined marrying a fellow actor until fate intervened.
“It was easy to say ‘I do’ because of our strong connection,” Efe confessed, reflecting on their unconventional love story that began when she was still an industry intern. Their paths first crossed at a birthday party where her future husband was performing.
The actress shared poignant memories of how her late mother – also in the movie industry – unknowingly played matchmaker. “My husband was close to my mother, which made it possible for him to approach me,” she explained, recalling his supportive role during her mother’s funeral rites years before their romance blossomed.
With twenty years of marital experience, Efe offered heartfelt advice: “Marry your friends – it makes a marriage stronger.” The screen veteran acknowledged all marriages face challenges but emphasized the importance of foundation. “When you marry someone you truly know and trust, you can overcome anything,” she affirmed.
