Ghanaian MP collapses while addressing students

Ghanaian lawmaker, Francis-Xavier Sosu, collapsed while delivering a speech to students and other attendees at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration on Thursday.

Sosu, the Member of Parliament representing Madina, was speaking on leadership, public service and lessons from his personal experiences when he suddenly appeared to lose consciousness while on stage.

Moments before the incident, the lawmaker had urged the audience to embrace service as a key quality of effective leadership, saying, “I respectfully submit that if you want to be a good leader, let service be your hallmark.”

He subsequently fell on stage, prompting people at the event to quickly move towards him and offer assistance.
