Fulham head coach, Marco Silva, has praised Samuel Chukwueze after the Nigerian winger played a pivotal role in the Cottagers’ 2-1 victory over Brighton at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
Chukwueze came off the bench to latch onto Joachim Andersen’s precise pass, leveling the score with 18 minutes remaining and setting the stage for Harry Wilson’s stunning stoppage-time free kick, which secured all three points for Fulham.
Reflecting on the moment, Silva singled out Chukwueze for his impact.
“The goal was simple but brilliant,” Silva said. “Andersen’s pass, Chukwueze’s run—they knew exactly how to break a high press. We needed those runs behind, and both delivered perfectly to equalize,” he said.
On loan from Serie A powerhouse AC Milan, Chukwueze has impressed at Fulham this season, netting three goals and providing four assists in just 10 league appearances
