Tension erupted in Ikire, Osun State, on Sunday when suspected hoodlums launched a violent attack on the convoy of renowned Fuji musician Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma.

The afternoon assault saw attackers hurling stones and firing gunshots at the musician’s vehicles, including a black Hummer Jeep and white Hilux truck, leaving visible damage.

Eyewitnesses confirmed the attack but could not verify if Pasuma or his crew sustained injuries.

A viral video captured the chaos, with distressed voices heard screaming in the background. One voice lamented in Pidgin English: “Kasala don burst for Ikire. They don attack us. They carry gun shoot us but God dey.”

Local residents expressed shock as the incident caused panic, temporarily disrupting commercial activities in the Irewole Local Government Area. Pasuma was reportedly in Osun for a performance, though details of his visit remain unclear.

Efforts to reach the Fuji star or his management for comments proved unsuccessful. Meanwhile, the Osun State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement on the attack or confirm any arrests.
