Flamingos arrive Morocco for U-17 World Cup

Nigeria’s U-17 women’s team, the Flamingos, have touched down safely in Casablanca, Morocco, ahead of the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

The team, led by head coach Bankole Olowookere, departed Abuja at about 7:18 a.m. on Wednesday and landed in Casablanca around 11:28 a.m. after a smooth four-hour, twenty-minute flight.

On arrival, the players and officials settled into the Ibis Hotel, Casablanca, where they will later hold a light training session to shake off the effects of travel.

The Flamingos head into the global tournament in high spirits, boasting an impressive pre-competition record — ten wins from ten friendlies, with 44 goals scored and none conceded.
