Business executives, human resource experts and policymakers will gather in Lagos this October for the 2026 Beyond HR Conference to examine how artificial intelligence is reshaping workplaces and business performance.
The Punch reported that the two-day event, organised by HR Talent Hub in partnership with DAC Consulting, will focus on the theme, “Beyond HR: Leadership, Growth and Business Success.”
The conference comes as businesses across Africa contend with rapid technological change, economic challenges and evolving workplace expectations.
Organisations are increasingly adapting to generative AI, automation and hybrid work models while seeking ways to strengthen productivity, attract skilled talent and remain competitive.
Speaking ahead of the event, the Founder and Lead Consultant of HR Talent Hub, Dr Omotola Dayo-Adedapo, stressed the importance of integrating workforce management into overall business strategy.
“Organisations can no longer treat people’s strategy as separate from business strategy,” Dayo-Adedapo said.
“The workplace is evolving faster than ever before. Technology is changing how we work; employees are redefining what they expect from organisations, and business leaders are being challenged to make better decisions in increasingly complex environments. Beyond HR Conference was created to help leaders stay ahead of that change.”
Launched in 2024, the annual conference has developed into a platform that promotes stronger collaboration between human resource professionals and business leaders, encouraging strategic decision-making that supports organisational growth.
Dayo-Adedapo said this year’s conference is designed to provide practical solutions for organisations seeking sustainable success rather than serving as a conventional industry gathering.
“Beyond HR is more than a conference. It is a convening for meaningful conversations on leadership, business performance, and organisational growth.
“Every edition is built to challenge perspectives, share practical ideas, and equip leaders with strategies they can immediately apply within their organisations,” Dayo-Adedapo added.
The programme will feature keynote speeches, executive fireside discussions, panel sessions and networking opportunities centred on workforce transformation, productivity and long-term business growth.
It will also include the annual HR Excellence Awards, which recognise exceptional leadership and innovation across different industries.
According to the organisers, the conference is open to business executives, entrepreneurs, HR practitioners and emerging professionals, with participation available both physically and virtually.
