Former Manchester United right-back, Rafael da Silva, has urged current manager Ruben Amorim to part ways with striker Rasmus Hojlund and make a move for Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen ahead of the new season.
Hojlund, now in his second year at Old Trafford, has struggled to find consistent form, managing just four Premier League goals and six in the Europa League.
Rafael, a three-time Premier League champion with United, believes the club needs more firepower up front and sees Osimhen as the ideal upgrade.
“Osimhen, I love him, he’s a very good player. I have to say I prefer him over Hojlund for sure. He’s 100%,” Rafael told RG.
“I’m not a fan of Hojlund, I hope he gets better. I don’t know if he will stay at Manchester United or not.”
Osimhen, currently on loan at Turkish champions Galatasaray, is expected to return to Napoli but is unlikely to remain there next season.
The Super Eagles star is on course to claim the Turkish league’s Golden Boot after scoring 25 goals in 29 appearances.
