Milton Keynes Dons have strengthened their defensive options with the acquisition of former Flying Eagles centre-back Marvin Ekpiteta.
The 28-year-old arrives from Scottish Premiership outfit Hibernian, where he featured 13 times in the league during his single season in Edinburgh.
Before his stint in Scotland, Ekpiteta was a key figure at Blackpool, amassing 143 appearances over four seasons, chipping in with 12 goals and three assists from the back.
Speaking after completing the move, the defender expressed his excitement about the fresh challenge, “I’m delighted to be here and eager to get going. This is an ambitious club, and I’m looking forward to contributing to that ambition. Last season I didn’t get the minutes I wanted, so now I’m hungry for regular football again.”
Confident about what lies ahead, Ekpiteta added, “I’ve played at different levels and understand what it takes to climb the ladder. I believe my experience and qualities can help us push for promotion. The calibre of players coming in is encouraging, and I’m thrilled to be part of the journey.”
