Former Real Madrid defender, Sergio Ramos, has confirmed he will be at the Santiago Bernabéu this Sunday to rally Kylian Mbappé ahead of the eagerly awaited El Clásico against Barcelona.
The upcoming clash marks the 262nd encounter between the Spanish giants, with excitement already reaching a fever pitch in the capital.
Ramos, who played in 43 El Clásicos during his illustrious Real Madrid career, revealed he plans to offer Mbappé some pre-match motivation.
“You know very well that I am a Real Madrid until death and I hope that Madrid wins, that my brother ‘Kyky’ plays a good game.
“I will motivate him. I often speak with him, he is at the top level, I hope he will have a great match and that the three points will stay at home.”
Real Madrid have struggled to defeat Barcelona at home in recent times, their last triumph dating back 18 months to a 3-2 win.
However, with Mbappé on an eight-game scoring streak under Xabi Alonso, the French forward could prove decisive in tipping the balance this weekend.
