Jamie Bynoe-Gittens has taken a major step toward becoming a Chelsea player after successfully completing the main part of his medical with the club.

This update was shared on Sunday by renowned football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, through a post on his X account.

Romano revealed that Chelsea recently finalized a £55 million agreement to bring in the English winger from Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund.

“Jamie Bynoe-Gittens has completed the main part of medical as new Chelsea player. £55m deal done,” Romano tweeted.

Bynoe-Gittens, 20, had been on the radar of several top clubs across Europe before opting to make the move to Stamford Bridge.

His signing is part of Chelsea’s broader plan to bolster manager Enzo Maresca’s squad ahead of the new season, following their return to Champions League football.

Maresca’s team secured a top-four finish in the Premier League last season, trailing only Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are currently competing in the FIFA Club World Cup, which is being held in the United States.
