Barcelona sporting director, Deco, has tipped teenage sensation, Lamine Yamal, to reach the heights of football icons Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Speaking to Lance, the former Portugal international praised the youngster’s rare gifts and described him as a generational talent.
“Comparisons with Messi? Lamine has a unique talent. He has that special talent, that natural talent.
“There was Ronaldo, there was Messi. He has that kind of player who captivates, who enchants.
“Lamine has that something that impresses. You go out on the pitch and you want to see him.
“So, I think he has that aura, yes. I think he’s a player who can define an era,” Deco stated.
Yamal’s rapid rise has already been decorated with silverware, as he played a crucial role in Spain’s European Championship triumph.
His stellar performances also earned him the prestigious Golden Boy and Kopa awards, cementing his status as the world’s best young player.
