Afrobeat superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has addressed the public request for a DNA test by his alleged daughter, Anuoluwapo, who shared her appeal on social media on Monday, January 15, 2026.
In her heartfelt post, the teenager reflected on the struggles she has faced growing up. She revealed that she was bullied at school from the age of six, with classmates mocking her because of her father’s fame.
“I went through a lot of mental anguish and even visited a medical professional to protect my mental health,” Anuoluwapo wrote.
Despite these challenges, she excelled academically, topping her class and later serving as class prefect. She expressed gratitude to her mother and grandmother for guiding her in becoming a responsible young adult.
As she steps into adolescence, Anuoluwapo said she wants to formally establish her identity.
“I am respectfully asking Mr. David Adeleke, Singer @davido, for a DNA test to establish my identity. This test is between my dad and me. It is something I want. It is the right thing to do. Please, sir, consider my request once you read this post,” she appealed.
She also thanked Nigerians who have supported her over the years, “Thank you to all Nigerians who have given me emotional support for the last seven years. This DNA test is the right thing to do for me.”
The teenager shared her letter publicly on social media and also sent it directly to her father via direct message.
Taking to his X account to address the matter, Davido revealed that five DNA tests had already been carried out, all returning negative results.
“After 5 DNA test … she dey crase .. her and her mom better leave me the f**k alone and go find her papa …” he tweeted.
When followers pressed him for clarification, Davido denied having any personal connection with the girl’s mother.
“Never met the b**ch … except when went For the DNA … very stupid behaviour I will soon treat their FK … 5 fucking hospitals just to be clear .. the mom needs to go to jail … I don’t blame the poor girl ..” he added.
He also stressed that the testing process was transparent, with each side selecting hospitals independently.
“Yes I chose 3 hospitals and they chose their own two hospitals .. all came out Negative .. this is the last time I’m speaking on this nonsense.”
