Grammy-nominated Afrobeats sensation, David Adedeji Adeleke, universally known as Davido, celebrated a radiant new chapter on Sunday as he and his longtime love, Chioma Rowland, exchanged vows at their white wedding in Miami, United States.

Following their traditional ceremony in Lagos in June 2024 and a court wedding in March 2023, this elegant affair in Miami served as the crowning jewel of their nuptial journey.

In an emotionally charged speech, Davido captured the essence of his love for Chioma, declaring, “Chioma, I have been on many stages, but this is the nervous I have ever been. You are my love, my peace, my home. You came into my life quietly and became the most loudest and beautiful part of it. You saw the real me, the me the world doesn’t see and you still choose me.”

The Miami ceremony was a luxurious spectacle, reportedly costing a staggering US$3.7 million in cash—an opulent figure that underscores Davido’s ambition to deliver what he described as “crazy” levels of grandeur.

Attendees included an illustrious mix of politicians, business moguls, entertainment stars, and relatives.

Among the notable guests were Nigeria’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, top-tier entertainers such as Adekunle Gold, Teni, and Zlatan Ibile, as well as Davido’s extended family, including his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Style also took center stage at the celebration, with a clear fashion directive setting the tone.

Davido and his groomsmen arrived in rich brown and camel-toned suits, while guests were strictly instructed not to wear white or cream attire, despite the event’s white wedding theme.

The Miami white wedding stands as the pinnacle of multiple ceremonies in their love story, a narrative that has been both public and deeply personal.

From the heartbreaking loss of their son, Ifeanyi, in 2022, to their court wedding in March 2023, the birth of their twins later that year, and their lavish traditional wedding in June 2024, each milestone has been a testament to their resilience and devotion.
