The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has implemented a new nationwide reduction in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol), with prices now ranging between N875 and N905 per litre depending on location.
In a notice posted on its official social media channels on Thursday, the refinery announced a N15 per litre price cut across all regions and partner retail outlets.
The new pricing structure applies to all major fuel marketers partnered with Dangote, including MRS, Ardova, Heyden, Optima Energy, Techno Oil, and Hyde Energy.
Revised Regional Pricing Breakdown:
Lagos: N875 (previously N890)
South-West: N885
North-East: N905 (previously N920)
North-West & Central: N895
South-South & South-East: N905 (previously N920)
The refinery urged consumers to purchase fuel only from its authorized outlets and encouraged Nigerians to report any non-compliance through its hotlines: +234 707 470 2099 or +234 707 470 2100.
“Our quality petrol and diesel are refined for better engine performance and are environmentally friendly,” the company stated.
The price reduction follows the reintroduction of a refund benefit policy for customers earlier this week. It also comes amid the period when independent oil marketers had resumed large-scale petrol imports, with over 496.17 million litres of petrol brought into Nigeria between May 11 and 20, 2025, according to data from the Tanker Position Report obtained from Blue Sea Maritime.
The Dangote Refinery, located in Lekki, Lagos, attributed its ability to lower prices to its naira-for-crude deal, which helps stabilize costs despite global oil market fluctuations.
In a statement signed by Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer Anthony Chiejina, the company reaffirmed its commitment to price stability and supporting Nigeria’s economy.
