Chelle unveils provisional Super Eagles squad for Rwanda, S’Africa clashes

Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has unveiled a 31-man provisional roster ahead of Nigeria’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying duels against Rwanda and South Africa.

The list, which features a blend of familiar names and fresh faces, will be trimmed down before the team assembles in Uyo on Monday, September 1, to kick off preparations.

Star players Victor Osimhen, William Troost-Ekong, Ademola Lookman, Alex Iwobi, and Moses Simon all made the cut, ensuring a strong backbone for the three-time African champions.

Nigeria will host Rwanda in a Matchday 7 clash at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Saturday, September 6, before jetting out to Bloemfontein to face South Africa in a high-stakes Matchday 8 tie three days later, on Tuesday, September 9.
