Chelle reportedly demands $130,000 monthly in 19-point S’Eagles contract extension

Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has reportedly submitted a detailed 19-point list of conditions to the Nigeria Football Federation as part of ongoing negotiations for a contract extension.

Chelle, who signed a two-year deal with the NFF in January 2025 with an optional additional year in the federation’s favour, has recently been linked with a possible move to French Ligue 1 side Marseille.

According to sports journalist Shina Oludare, the Franco-Malian coach formally presented the proposed terms to the NFF on January 22, 2026, following what he described as “an in-depth investigation and fact-checking of the document.”

The proposal outlines a monthly salary of $130,000, which would cover Chelle, his technical staff, and his personal assistant.

It also calls for regular monthly meetings with all national team coaches to foster collaboration and coordination across the Super Eagles’ programs.

In addition, the document highlights several infrastructural and logistical requests, including a private SUV with a chauffeur and security, a house in a secure environment with 24-hour electricity, a furnished office equipped with a projector for tactical analysis, and reliable internet access.

Other provisions reportedly include flight tickets for Chelle’s wife and two children, GPS equipment, and the supply of training equipment in line with the coach’s requirements.

The terms also give Chelle authority over friendly match arrangements, youth development initiatives, and scouting for players both locally and internationally.
