Burnley have secured the services of Albania international Armando Broja from Chelsea in a deal reportedly valued at up to £20 million.

Chelsea confirmed the striker’s departure in a statement on Friday, with Broja penning a five-year contract at Turf Moor.

He becomes Burnley’s second signing from the Blues this week, following the arrival of Lesley Ugochukwu, according to BBC Sport.

Speaking after sealing the move, the 23-year-old expressed his excitement ahead of the new Premier League campaign.

“This is a really positive time to join the club, and I’m eager to get started,” Broja said. “I’m ready, I’m motivated, and I’m looking forward to the challenge. I’ve already felt the warmth from the Burnley fans, and I promise to give my all whenever I wear the Claret shirt.”

Broja made his senior debut for Chelsea in 2020 and featured 38 times in all competitions.

Struggling to secure a regular spot in the starting XI, he embarked on loan spells with Vitesse Arnhem, Southampton, Fulham, and Everton in recent years.
