Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich wrapped up their season in emphatic fashion on Saturday, thrashing hosts Hoffenheim 4-0 in their final league game, as Harry Kane made history by clinching the top scorer award for a second consecutive year.

Though Bayern had sealed the title a fortnight earlier, they showed no signs of complacency.

The visitors took control in the 33rd minute when Michael Olise struck a thunderous free kick to put them ahead.

Olise later turned creator, delivering a pinpoint assist for Joshua Kimmich, who smashed in Bayern’s second goal just eight minutes into the second half.

Harry Kane, who started the match on the bench, made an impact after coming on. He came close to scoring, rattling the post, before setting up Serge Gnabry to add a third for the Bavarians.

The England skipper eventually got his goal in the 86th minute, tucking the ball home from close range to register his 26th league strike of the season.

With the goal, Kane achieved a remarkable feat, becoming the first player in Bundesliga history to finish as the league’s top scorer in both of his first two seasons.
