British actor, Noel Clarke, has been charged with sexual offences, including sexual assault, voyeurism and exposure, following an investigation by police in the United Kingdom.
The 50-year-old actor, known for his roles in Doctor Who and Kidulthood, faces two counts of sexual assault, three counts of voyeurism and one count of exposure.
The Crown Prosecution Service authorised the Metropolitan Police to charge Clarke on Wednesday after reviewing evidence submitted by detectives.
The alleged offences are said to have occurred between 2007 and 2016 and involve five women.
In a statement, the CPS said, “Our prosecutors have worked to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring this case to court and that it is in the public interest to do so.”
The investigation began about a year ago, with Clarke, who is from Kensington in west London, first arrested on 25 September 2025. Police subsequently submitted a file of evidence to the CPS, which later authorised the charges.
Clarke is scheduled to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 21 October at 10:00 BST.
Detective Superintendent Mike Cagney, who leads the investigation, said: “The women connected to these charges continue to receive support from specially trained officers.
“We urge anyone who has been a victim of sexual assault to contact police. The information you provide will be dealt with in the utmost sensitivity and we have trained investigators on hand to support you.”
Clarke rose to prominence after portraying Mickey Smith in Doctor Who between 2005 and 2010. He later established himself as an actor, writer, producer and director.
The allegations remain matters for the court to determine, and Clarke has not been convicted of any offence.
