Six-time Grand Slam champion, Carlos Alcaraz, is feeling his game improve with each match after defeating Corentin Moutet in the third round of the Australian Open on Friday.
The Spanish top seed made light work of his 100th Grand Slam appearance, dispatching the French player 6-2, 6-4, 6-1 without expending unnecessary energy.
After the match, Alcaraz expressed his satisfaction with his performance and progress in the tournament.
“I think my level is getting better and better,” said the six-time Grand Slam winner.
“Obviously today, Corentin I think he isn’t a player who plays with so much rhythm in the match, with dropshots, slices. So sometimes it’s tricky to get a good rhythm, which I think today I just got whatever I could, which I’m really happy about. I’m excited to keep it going.”
Alcaraz is still chasing his first Australian Open title, having never advanced beyond the quarterfinals in his four previous visits to Melbourne Park.
