Arsenal push for Chelsea’s Madueke after Maresca opens exit door

Arsenal have ramped up their interest in Chelsea winger Noni Madueke, following a firm message from new Blues manager Enzo Maresca to players considering an exit.

The Gunners, who have been actively seeking attacking reinforcements this summer, are edging closer to agreeing personal terms with Madueke, according to transfer expert Florian Plettenberg.

However, negotiations between Arsenal and Chelsea are still ongoing, with no deal struck yet.

Speaking about players potentially leaving Stamford Bridge amid Arsenal’s interest, Maresca stated, “Noni has been very important for us during this season. But my message to the players and to the club is that I want just players that are happy to be with us. The ones that are not happy, they are free to go. It’s not for Noni, it’s for all the players we have.”

Arsenal have also shown interest in several other wide attackers this transfer window. Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze remains on their radar, while speculation continues around a possible move for Real Madrid forward Rodrygo.

In addition to strengthening the wings, Arsenal are targeting a new striker. Benjamin Sesko has long been a top priority, though progress on that front has stalled. Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres is another name high on their list.
