Founder and Senior Pastor of Koinonia Global, Eternity Network International, Apostle Joshua Selman, has revealed that he received a vision concerning the death of a prominent Nigerian politician, saying he saw people gathering to bury the unnamed political figure.
Selman made the revelation during a prayer session for sick people at a service on Sunday, September 27, 2026.
The cleric said the vision came unexpectedly while he was praying, leaving him conflicted over whether to make the revelation public.
According to him, he eventually felt compelled to speak about what he had seen despite his initial hesitation.
“I’m not a prophet of doom and I wish I didn’t have to say this but I’m seeing a high-ranking politician in this nation. His time is up. I’m seeing him going. I’m seeing people gather to bury the person,” he said.
Selman explained that his decision to disclose the revelation was not intended to celebrate or sensationalise the politician’s death but to prepare the person’s family for what he claimed was ahead.
“The reason why we announce this is not because we rejoice over whatever it is that is happening. It’s so that God will comfort the family, one, and then prepare the heart,” he said.
He further maintained that nothing could be done to change what he had seen.
“But there’s nothing that can be done. It’s time. It’s over,” he said.
The preacher also dismissed any suggestion that the declaration was made to attract attention or impress his audience, insisting that he does not make prophecies for such purposes.
“I don’t prophesy to impress. I don’t have that time for all those games,” he said, adding that “the Lord has impressed on my spirit, and it will not let me rest.”
Selman did not identify the politician by name, leaving the identity of the high-ranking political figure unclear.
His declaration has since generated reactions online, with Nigerians speculating about who the unnamed politician could be.
Selman has previously made headlines after introducing former Anambra State governor and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, at a Koinonia service in Abuja.
