APC group urges Nigerians to reject alliance of failed leaders

The APC Grassroots Governance Group has called on Nigerians to reject any political alliance that does not serve the interests of ordinary citizens.

The group made this appeal in a statement issued on Saturday by its National Coordinator, Amechi Chuks Oyema.

In the release, Oyema emphasized that Nigerians should not take the alliance organizers seriously, as they had ample opportunities to advance the country but prioritized personal interests instead.

“The so-called leaders had all the opportunity to move the country forward but failed,” the statement read. “One of the leaders of the alliance has his children living in a house worth three million pounds outside the country, while the people of the state he governed are languishing in poverty.”

The APC G3 further criticized the alliance for being self-serving, claiming it was more about personal gain than the country’s future.

“The alliance is all about themselves and not about the future of the country,” the group stated, pointing to the decline of key sectors during the tenure of these leaders. “During their time in office, our refineries, railway, health centres, universities, and electricity went comatose. Almost every facet of the society was crippled.”

The group praised President Bola Tinubu’s efforts to revive these sectors through his Renewed Hope Agenda, acknowledging that while the process may be slow, progress is being made.

“Without them, President Bola Tinubu is doing his best to bring the dead facilities back to life. It may not be easy and fast as we want it, but the RENEWED HOPE AGENDA is on course.”

In conclusion, APC G3 urged Nigerians to reject the alliance of what it described as “failed leaders,” asserting that they have nothing of value to offer the nation. “Nigerians must reject the alliance of failed leaders, they have nothing to offer,” the statement added.
