Anthony Joshua eyes clash with Jake Paul December

Anthony Joshua is reportedly closing in on a high-profile showdown with Jake Paul in Miami next month.

The 36-year-old heavyweight has not stepped into the ring since his September 2024 defeat to Daniel Dubois.

Promoter Eddie Hearn revealed that Joshua’s next opponent would be confirmed this week.

According to Mike Coppinger of Ring Magazine (via The Sun), AJ is poised to make his long-awaited comeback against Paul.

Jake Paul, famously known as the Problem Child, last fought in June, securing a win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in California.

Prior to that, he defeated Mike Tyson by unanimous decision in November 2024 in a bout that aired on Netflix.

The YouTube sensation boasts a 12-1 professional record, with his only loss coming via split decision to Tommy Fury in February 2023.

Paul had been scheduled to face WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis on November 14 in a live Netflix event, but the fight was canceled following domestic abuse allegations against Davis.
