Afrobeats stars, Pheelz and Khaid, have raised the alarm after their SUV was allegedly broken into in Los Angeles, California, in the United States, with several valuables reportedly stolen.
According to the singers, the incident occurred while they were in the city, with thieves breaking into their vehicle and carting away personal and work-related items.
Among the items reportedly stolen were laptops, Khaid’s passport and a hard drive said to contain some of his songs.
Reacting to the development via Instagram, Khaid expressed frustration over the loss, stressing that the stolen items included crucial documents and creative materials.
He particularly lamented the disappearance of his passport and unreleased music stored on the hard drive.
Khaid wrote, “Just fcking got robbed in Cali, my passport to travel, my laptop, my fcking harddrive. All my f*cking songs,” he lamented.
Pheelz also shared his experience, describing the incident as one of the most shocking nights he has had, while expressing gratitude that they were not harmed.
“Craziest night last night. LA you do this one. Thank God for life”, he wrote.
Pheelz further revealed that their attempt to contact the police did not produce the response he expected, noting that they were instead directed to file a report online.
“I thought it was going to be like the movies where you call the police and they pull up almost immediately. Omo we called o, they say make we fill form online”.
The musicians have not yet disclosed whether any of the stolen items have been recovered, and it remains unclear if a formal police investigation has begun as of the time of reporting.
