Nigeria’s D’Tigers are aiming to book their spot in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Men’s AfroBasket in Angola when they clash with Cameroon on Sunday.
Both teams have remained unbeaten in the tournament, with Nigeria leading the standings courtesy of a superior point difference.
A win for either side would ensure direct qualification for the last eight, while the losing team will face a playoff to advance.
The D’Tigers began their campaign emphatically, defeating Madagascar 77-59 before pulling off a remarkable 87-66 upset over defending champions Tunisia.
Cameroon, led by NBA talents Yves Missi, Ulrich Chomche, and Christian Koloko, kicked off their campaign with a dominant 86-65 win against Tunisia.
However, they narrowly edged Madagascar 80-77 in their second outing.
To keep their quarter-final hopes intact, the Cameroonian side will need a sharper showing against a D’Tigers team eager to capture their first AfroBasket title since 2015.
