African Stars Dazzle at 11th AMVCA in Lagos

The 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards lit up Lagos on Saturday night, as some of Africa’s biggest stars gathered to celebrate excellence in film and television.

The prestigious ceremony, organized by MultiChoice, brought together a dazzling lineup of celebrities who turned heads with their show-stopping red carpet looks. From established Nollywood icons to rising stars, the event was a celebration of African talent and fashion.

Among those who made bold style statements were Mercy Aigbe, Destiny Etiko, Ini Dima-Okojie, Eniola Badmus, Uche Jombo, Nkechi Blessing, and Olayode Juliana. Not to be outdone, actor Lateef Adedimeji and his wife, Mo Bimpe, also drew attention with their coordinated ensembles.

Actors Tomi Tones, Jemima Osunde, Stan Nze, Blessing Obasi, Ken Erics, Mike Afolarin, Majid Michel, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Iyo Prosper, Uti Nwachukwu, Efa Iwara, and Tobi Bakre also impressed, capturing both media lenses and public admiration.

The festivities began on Friday with the Cultural Day celebration, where guests embraced African tradition through vibrant native attire. The event served as a prelude to Saturday’s award ceremony and paid homage to the continent’s rich cultural legacy.

The AMVCA honors exceptional achievements in film, television, and digital content across the African entertainment industry. Winners are selected through a combination of public votes and assessments by a panel of industry experts.

This year’s nominations spanned content released between January 1 and December 31, 2024. The live broadcast aired on all Africa Magic channels, reaching audiences across the continent.
