Global music sensation Taylor Swift and American football star Travis Kelce have confirmed their engagement, bringing months of speculation about their relationship to an end.
The couple shared the news on Instagram on Tuesday with a carousel of photos showing Kelce proposing in a flower-filled garden. Swift captioned the post with a playful line: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
The engagement ring, according to TMZ, is a vintage-inspired piece featuring an old mine-cut diamond designed by Kindred Lubeck.
Swift, 35, and Kelce, 35, went public with their relationship in late 2023, first spotted together at NFL games before making red carpet appearances at major award ceremonies.
Over the past year, the duo have openly supported each other’s careers. Swift recently concluded her record-breaking Eras Tour, while Kelce helped the Kansas City Chiefs secure back-to-back NFL successes in the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
“This feels like the perfect next chapter for them,” a source close to the couple told The Punch. “They’ve been each other’s biggest fans, both personally and professionally.”
Fans have since flooded social media with congratulatory messages, hailing the pair as a modern power couple.
Adding to the excitement, Swift announced her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, which is available for pre-order and expected to be released before October 13. The announcement was teased on her website and highlighted on New Heights, the podcast hosted by Kelce and his brother Jason.
For Swift, the engagement and new album mark yet another milestone in a year filled with career triumphs and personal joy. As one fan posted on X, “She’s winning in music and in love—2025 is Taylor’s year.”
