Veteran Nollywood actor Lalude has publicly called out the President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, MC Oluomo, over unfulfilled promises made to him and fellow celebrities who rallied support for President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 general elections.
During the campaign season, several well-known entertainers, including Toyin Abraham, Alapini, Olaiye Igwe, Lege Miami, Eniola Badmus, and Seyi Law, actively backed the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Tinubu’s candidacy.
In a viral video circulating on social media, Lalude voiced his displeasure, accusing MC Oluomo, who coordinated their involvement in the campaign, of failing to deliver on financial promises made to them after the elections.
“My colleagues and I campaigned for president Tinubu and Sanwo-Olu during the election but we were not given a dime after the campaign.
“We left our jobs for a month and three weeks campaigning for them. MC Oluomo was the one who organized us together for the campaign. He personally told Alapini and I to ask for anything we wanted, and we told him what we wanted but he didn’t fulfill his promise.
“My curse will follow those sitting on the money for the rest of their lives,” Lalude stated.
