Brighton & Hove Albion head coach, Fabian Hurzeler, has urged patience with Nigerian winger Femi Azeez, who is yet to make his competitive debut for the Premier League club.
The Nigeria international joined Brighton from Championship side Millwall on transfer deadline day but has been unable to feature competitively due to an injury sustained on the opening day of the Championship season.
Azeez returned to action during the recent three-week international break, featuring in a private friendly match as he continued his recovery.
However, Hurzeler has indicated that the winger needs more time to adjust to the physical demands of his new club ahead of their trip to Sunderland on Saturday.
“He played in a friendly game and he had some minor issues this week,” Hurzeler was quoted by The Argus.
“What I mean by that is his body needs to adapt to our intensity, to our demands, the demands in the Premier League.”
