Mbappé may leave Real Madrid over squad concerns – Report

French football star, Kylian Mbappé, could consider leaving Spanish giants Real Madrid if the club fails to assemble a team that meets his expectations, according to French journalist Daniel Riolo.

Riolo made the remarks during an appearance on RMC Sport’s After Foot before providing further details on Cadena SER’s El Larguero.

Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, also reported the comments on X on Friday.

The journalist, who has long been regarded as close to the Mbappé family, suggested that the forward was unhappy with developments at the club and could contemplate an exit if his demands were not met.

“If he does not have the team he wants, it’s possible that he will leave. I think it’s possible. I don’t think he’s happy with everything that’s happening at Real Madrid this season.”

However, Riolo presented the possibility as his personal assessment rather than confirmed information about Mbappé’s future, although his comments have attracted attention in Spanish and French media.

The 27-year-old France international still has two years remaining on his contract beyond the current campaign, with his deal at Real Madrid running until June 2029.

Any potential departure in the summer of 2027 would therefore require an agreement between the player and the club or a major transfer deal.
