Norway striker, Erling Haaland, has taken sole possession of the UEFA Nations League’s all-time scoring record after increasing his tally to 21 goals in the competition.

The Manchester City forward reached the milestone after scoring twice against Denmark at the start of the 2026/27 Nations League campaign, taking his total to 21 goals in 16 appearances.

According to UEFA, Serbia’s Aleksandar Mitrović and Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo are joint-second on the chart with 15 goals each, while Kosovo forward Vedat Muriqi occupies fourth place with 14.

Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku is fifth with 13 goals, followed by Sweden’s Viktor Gyökeres on 11 and France captain Kylian Mbappé on 10.
Haaland’s latest record adds to his growing list of international achievements.

He became Norway’s all-time leading scorer in 2024 after scoring twice against Slovenia to move beyond Jørgen Juve’s record, which had stood since 1934.

The Nations League, introduced in 2018, has featured several prolific scorers, with Ronaldo among the competition’s leading performers.

The Portugal captain scored a hat-trick against Switzerland in the semi-final of the inaugural edition.

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Edin Džeko, Denmark’s Christian Eriksen and Luxembourg’s Danel Sinani have each scored nine goals in the competition.

Netherlands forward Memphis Depay, Georgia’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Georges Mikautadze, Montenegro’s Stefan Mugoša, Finland’s Teemu Pukki and Slovenia’s Benjamin Šeško have eight goals each.

The scoring chart could change further as the 2026/27 campaign continues, with Matchday 2 scheduled to begin on Sunday.

Haaland is set to face Ronaldo when Norway host Portugal, while other players on the all-time list will also have the opportunity to add to their tallies.

A total of 26 matches are scheduled between September 27 and 29, with the fixtures providing more chances for the competition’s leading scorers to move up the standings.
