Netherlands played out a 1-1 draw against Germany in their UEFA Nations League Group A2 opener in Amsterdam on Thursday, with Real Madrid defender Denzel Dumfries featuring for the hosts throughout the encounter.
Dumfries was named in the starting XI and completed the full 90 minutes on the right flank as the Netherlands battled Germany in an entertaining contest.
Germany took the lead before the break through Nmecha, who put the visitors ahead in the first half.
The Netherlands pushed for an equaliser after the restart and eventually got their reward in the 91st minute when Cody Gakpo found the back of the net to secure a share of the spoils.
The draw leaves both sides with a point from their opening Group A2 fixture.
The Netherlands will return to action on Sunday, September 27, when they travel to face Serbia, with kick-off scheduled for 6pm.
