The National Youth Service Corps has announced September 7 to 13, 2026, as the registration window for prospective members of the 2026 Batch C mobilisation.
The registration exercise, which will be conducted online, is expected to cover prospective corps members preparing to begin their mandatory national service.
However, the NYSC said applicants must obtain clearance from the National Education Records Database before they can complete the registration process.
In a notice issued on Friday, the scheme advised prospective corps members to secure their NERD Clearance Certificate ahead of the registration deadline to prevent delays in their mobilisation.
The NYSC stressed that the clearance is a compulsory requirement for all prospective corps members.
“NERD clearance is compulsory for all PCMs,” the scheme stated.
It further warned, “No NERD clearance, no NYSC registration.”
According to the NYSC, registration will commence on Monday, September 7, and end on Sunday, September 13.
The scheme therefore urged all prospective members of the 2026 Batch C to obtain their NERD clearance before the registration portal opens.
It advised applicants to complete the process early and avoid last-minute challenges that could affect their mobilisation for the service year.
