Fulham F.C. manager Marco Silva has revealed that Alex Iwobi will not feature in today’s Premier League clash against AFC Bournemouth after sustaining a hamstring injury.
The Super Eagles midfielder picked up the injury during Fulham’s encounter with Brentford F.C., forcing him off in the 43rd minute.
Iwobi has since been sidelined for Fulham’s last three league fixtures, including their recent defeat to Arsenal F.C..
Addressing journalists during Friday’s pre-match press conference, Silva confirmed that both Iwobi and Ryan Sessegnon will miss the encounter at Craven Cottage.
“Ryan Sessegnon, Alex Iwobi, they are going to be out of the game,” he confirmed.
“We had a difficult week with one or two. We have to keep assessing every single day.
“Sander is through the illness, but he’s been the one that is suffering a little bit more. He felt something in the week of Brentford, was one of the reasons why he was not recovered for Villa, and last week he had probably a bigger one, and it’s had an impact on him.”
