Iwobi apologises to Nigerians over red card againstt Jordan

Super Eagles midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has taken responsibility for his sending-off in Nigeria’s 2-2 friendly draw against Jordan on March 31.

Iwobi was shown a red card after reacting angrily when he was held back by Jordan’s Amer Jamous during the match played in Turkey.

Speaking after the game on the Alexander Yaa Digg podcast, the former Everton midfielder admitted that his conduct fell below expectations and offered an apology to Nigerians.

“I need to address what I did and apologise to all my Nigerian teammates, staff, and everyone who cares about Nigeria. My actions were not good enough, and I got sent off,” Iwobi stated on the Alexander Yaa Digg podcast.
