Anthony Joshua relocates to UAE

Former world heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, has revealed that he is now officially a resident of the United Arab Emirates, amid escalating tensions involving the USA, Israel, and Iran.

The announcement comes in the wake of a tragic incident on December 29, 2025, when Joshua survived a deadly car crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Nigeria.

The accident claimed the lives of two of his closest team members, personal trainer Latif “Latz” Ayodele and strength coach Sina Ghami.

Mail Sport reports that paperwork submitted on Friday for Joshua’s £150 million business empire disclosed the relocation, which legally requires him to state the country in which he resides.

Dubai’s lack of income tax makes it an appealing destination for high-net-worth individuals looking to ease their fiscal obligations.

“Had he remained in Britain, Joshua would have faced UK tax obligations on dividend payments of £10.1million in 2024 and £6.3million the previous year,” Mail Sport noted.

Joshua now joins a growing list of prominent figures who have moved to Dubai, including former boxing champion Amir Khan and Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan.
