Lazio have reportedly rejected an approach from Premier League side Bournemouth for Nigerian midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru
Reports from Italian outlet LaLazioSiamoNoi revealed that Bournemouth submitted a loan offer that included an option to buy valued at €18 million.
However, the Serie A club are unwilling to part ways with the Super Eagles midfielder.
Dele-Bashiru only recently returned to Italy following his Africa Cup of Nations outing with Nigeria.
His season has been hampered by injuries, limiting his involvement, and he was only registered in Lazio’s Serie A squad towards the latter part of last year.
Despite his struggles with fitness, the 24-year-old was strongly linked with a move away from the Rome-based club during the January transfer window.
Aside from Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest and Turkish outfit Trabzonspor have also been credited with an interest in the midfielder.
Dele-Bashiru has featured in 10 league matches for Maurizio Sarri’s side this season and still has two and a half years remaining on his current contract with Lazio.
