Vimctor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Stanley Nwabali and Semi Ajayi are all walking a disciplinary tightrope ahead of Nigeria’s final Group C match at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Each of the four Super Eagles stars is one yellow card away from a suspension that would rule them out of the Round of 16, with Nigeria set to face the Cranes of Uganda later today.
Lookman picked up his booking in Nigeria’s opening group game against Tanzania’s Taifa Stars.
Osimhen, Ajayi and first-choice goalkeeper Nwabali were all cautioned during the Super Eagles’ second fixture against the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia.
With qualification for the knockout stage already secured, head coach Éric Chelle may choose to rest the quartet to avoid the risk of suspension.
The Group C clash will take place at the Complexe Sportif de Fès, with kick-off scheduled for 5pm Nigeria time.
