‘Help Me’, 2Baba cries out mid marital crisis

Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has spoken publicly for the first time since the ongoing controversy involving him and his wife, Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, dominated social media discussions.

In a brief message shared on his Instagram Story on Wednesday, the multiple award-winning artiste wrote, “Help me.”

The post has heightened concerns among fans and industry colleagues about his emotional state.

His comment came shortly after his brother, Hyacinth Idibia, expressed worry over the singer’s wellbeing. In an emotional Instagram post, Hyacinth referenced lyrics from one of 2Baba’s songs, writing, “You’ve always been ahead, always been brilliant… Lyrics meant to inspire, but somehow it’s unfolding in real time. Painful reality. Allow us save you. You’ve been suffering for too long. God knows.”

The public exchange is the latest development in weeks of drama between 2Baba and Osawaru, which reportedly began in the United Kingdom.

The couple allegedly engaged in a heated argument that led to police involvement and the singer’s brief arrest.

The tension resurfaced during an Instagram Live session with broadcaster Daddy Freeze, where both were seen in a heated argument.

The confrontation further fuelled speculations about a deepening marital rift.
