Joshua’s physical edge, Fury’s mind games will decide fight – Ex-Klitschko boss

Bernd Boente, who previously managed Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko, has shared his thoughts on the highly anticipated showdown between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, highlighting the crucial role of each fighter’s current condition.

Speaking to World Boxing News, Boente emphasized that Fury’s strength in psychological tactics could give him an edge.

“It certainly depends heavily on Fury’s physical fitness. He has lost a lot of substance due to his unstable lifestyle, and the three fights against Wilder and the two against Usyk also took their toll. For Joshua, it’s primarily a question of his mental state.

“Fury would probably dominate the mind games. He is a master of psychological warfare, it just didn’t work against the super-cool Usyk.

“Physically, AJ seems to have the advantage. He’s left less substance in his fights and seems to have a much more balanced and healthier lifestyle.”

Boente’s insight underlines that while Fury may excel in mental tactics, Joshua could benefit from superior physical conditioning in what promises to be a fascinating contest.
