Juventus reportedly eye Chelsea’s Maresca return

Serie A powerhouse, Juventus are reportedly eyeing Chelsea’s Italian manager, Enzo Maresca, as a potential future appointment.

According to Italian outlets cited by Yahoo Sports, the Turin club “hold the young manager’s work in high esteem,” viewing him as more than just an emerging tactician, but “a serious future candidate to bolster their own technical area.”

The Bianconeri are said to be closely monitoring Maresca’s career trajectory, confident that his growing reputation could soon make him a fitting figure to take charge at the Allianz Stadium.

For Maresca, such a move would represent a sentimental homecoming. The former midfielder previously donned the iconic black-and-white shirt during his playing days between 2000 and 2005, and Juventus now appear keen on scripting a second chapter, this time with him at the helm.

Meanwhile, back in England, Maresca has been handed a one-match touchline ban by the Football Association after being sent off during Chelsea’s clash with Liverpool.

Despite that setback, his managerial stock remains high, having guided Chelsea to the UEFA Europa Conference League title last season and later clinching the revamped FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
