Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has announced the Nigerian edition of his ‘5ive Tour’, with scheduled performances across four major cities — Uyo, Yola, Enugu, and Lagos.
The Grammy-nominated artist made the announcement on Tuesday via his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, revealing that the tour will begin in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on October 26, before moving to Yola, Adamawa State, on October 29, and Enugu on November 1. The grand finale will feature two major concerts in Lagos on November 9 and December 25.
Sharing his excitement, Davido expressed how much the homecoming means to him after the successful North American leg of the tour.
“I’m blessed to perform all around the world, and everywhere I go, Nigeria goes with me. But this time, I’m bringing it home,” he wrote.
“After an unforgettable North American tour, it’s only right we bring that energy back where it all began. My 5ive Tour Nigeria — y’all ready? This one’s for the culture. This one’s personal. This one’s for us.”
Davido’s ‘5ive Tour’ had earlier recorded multiple sold-out shows across the United States and Canada, where he thrilled fans with live renditions of hit songs from his award-winning album, Timeless.
