US gospel artists Naomi Raine, Chandler Moore quit Maverick City Music

American gospel artists, Naomi Raine Solomon and Chandler David Moore, have both announced they are stepping away from Maverick City Music, the contemporary worship collective that launched them into international acclaim.

Naomi Raine, who first appeared on Maverick City Music collaborative albums in 2019, reflected on her journey with gratitude.

“What began as a small gathering of friends singing in a shed evolved into a worldwide movement of worship that changed my life in ways I never imagined,” she shared on social media. “Being part of Mav truly changed me. I don’t regret a single thing, the highs, the lows, the lessons, all of it.”

Through her years with Maverick, Naomi said she not only learned about God but also about people and herself. Now, she feels called to explore a new path.

“Every song I was part of came from a pure place, just me wanting to please God,” she explained. “I’m still writing, still singing, still worshiping and leading others, just on my own.”

She concluded her heartfelt statement with a message of gratitude,

“Grateful for that leg of my journey. Grateful for all that will come. Just grateful.” Naomi emphasized that this transition isn’t an ending, but a new chapter full of faith, purpose, and promise.

Similarly, Chandler Moore, known for his solo album Feelings (2020), shared his own bittersweet decision.

“These last two years I’ve been locked in on what really matters… in my life and in my career,” he wrote. “It’s been scary at times, but also full of fresh vision and real excitement about the future. With that, I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Maverick City Music.”

Chandler reflected on the beginnings of Maverick City Music, recalling the sense of community and belonging it provided.

“When we started Mav, I was grateful to have community while fulfilling my dream of making music that would help people experience God. And we did that…in ways I couldn’t have imagined.”

Expressing gratitude to the collective, fans, and God, Chandler concluded simply: “Thank you, Mav. Thank you, fans. Thank you, God.”
