Nigeria’s Flying Eagles have lined up two international friendlies against Chile and Australia as part of their build-up to the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
The first test for Aliyu Zubairu’s men comes on Saturday when they square up against hosts Chile, before taking on Australia in their second warm-up clash next Tuesday.
The team jetted out of Nigeria on Sunday to continue their final preparations in South America, where the World Cup will be staged from September 27 to October 20.
Nigeria has been drawn in Group F alongside Norway, Saudi Arabia, and Colombia, with their opening game set against Norway on Monday, September 29.
At the last edition in Argentina, the Flying Eagles bowed out in the quarter-finals after a defeat to Korea Republic.
The seven-time African champions will now be hoping to go further this time on Chilean soil.
