Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta, has revealed that Bukayo Saka will play no part in the Premier League encounter against Nottingham Forest today.
The England international picked up an injury in the 5-0 demolition of Leeds at the Emirates and is still working his way back to full fitness.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Arteta admitted Saka’s recovery is progressing well but emphasized the need for patience, while also refusing to rule him out of the upcoming Champions League tie with Athletic Bilbao.
“Bukayo is still out. He’s trying to get back as quick as possible, we need to respect that process,” Arteta told reporters ahead of Saturday’s home game against Forest.
“He’s evolving really well. Very specific work at the moment. And the moment we increase that load, let’s see how he reacts.”
The Gunners will be looking to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat to Liverpool, with Forest arriving at the Emirates under newly appointed manager Ange Postecoglou.
