American gospel singer, Kirk Franklin, was among the star-studded guests who graced the lavish white wedding of Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, and his wife Chioma, in Miami on Sunday.

The grand celebration, tagged Chivido 2025, attracted a host of prominent personalities, including Nigerian music icon, D’Banj and Nollywood actress Uche Jombo.

Guests adhered to a strict black-tie and evening gown dress code, with a clear instruction from the couple’s invitation to avoid wearing white or cream.

Davido, 31, recently disclosed that the Miami event cost him a staggering $3.7 million.

It marked the third phase of the couple’s marriage journey, following their court wedding in March 2023 and a traditional ceremony in Lagos in June 2024.

The guest list brimmed with influential names such as American rapper, Rubi Rose, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, billionaire Aliko Dangote, Nigerian stars Zlatan Ibile, Adekunle Gold, Teni, and B Red, as well as producer Cobhams Asuquo, music video director Dammy Twitch, and hypeman Poco Lee.

Reports indicated that some invitees were unable to attend due to visa challenges.

The day’s standout moments included Davido presenting Chioma with a Richard Mille diamond wristwatch valued at over $1 million, and wearing cufflinks engraved with the image of his late son, Ifeanyi.

During his vows, an emotional Davido told his bride, “Chioma, I have been on many stages, but this is the most nervous I have ever been. You are my love, my peace, and my home. You saw the real me and you still chose me.”
