Bauchi varsity govt reconstitutes governing council

The Bauchi State Government has reconstituted the Governing Council of Sa’adu Zungur University, Gadau, appointing Professor Gambo Laraba Abdullahi as the new Chairperson.

This development followed the recommendations submitted by a Visitation Panel tasked with evaluating the institution’s condition. According to a statement released on Thursday by the governor’s media aide, Mukhtar Gidado, the reconstitution reflects the state administration’s commitment to enhancing the university’s academic and administrative capacity.

“In line with Governor Bala Mohammed’s commitment to academic excellence and institutional reform, the university’s governing council has been restructured to ensure improved governance and sustainable development,” the statement read.

Professor Abdullahi, a distinguished academic with a long-standing career in education, is expected to bring her “impeccable academic credentials and passion for higher education reform” to her new role.
