Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has alleged that he and his team were involved in a heated confrontation with security personnel at Hi Ibiza, one of Spain’s most exclusive nightclubs, on Saturday night.
The “Unavailable” singer took to his Instagram story early Sunday morning to share images of the security staff involved, writing: “@Hiibizaofficial security had an issue with me and my team!!! All of y’all going down!!!” While Davido did not provide specific details about what triggered the altercation, his posts suggested the incident left him visibly shaken.
Davido is currently vacationing on the Mediterranean island with close associates including his longtime manager Asa Asika and celebrity nightlife entrepreneur Cubana Chiefpriest. The group has been documenting their luxury getaway across social media platforms in recent days, sharing photos and videos of their high-profile holiday.
As of press time, neither Hi Ibiza’s management nor Spanish authorities have issued an official statement regarding the alleged incident. The nightclub, renowned for hosting international celebrities and elite partygoers, has not responded to requests for comment about the reported altercation involving the Grammy-nominated artist and his entourage.
This development comes as Davido enjoys a career-high moment following the global success of his recent “5ive” album and recent sold-out international tours.
