United States President Donald Trump announced the opening of a waiting list for his proposed $5 million U.S. residency permit program, directing interested applicants to the newly launched TrumpCard.gov website.

“Thousands have been calling and asking how they can sign up to ride a beautiful road in gaining access to the Greatest Country and Market anywhere in the World,” Trump wrote in a social media post on Wednesday.

The program, first unveiled in April aboard Air Force One with a golden prototype visa bearing Trump’s image, promises expedited access to U.S. residency. At the time, Trump suggested the special permits would be available “in less than two weeks,” though they remain pending. The newly activated website allows potential applicants to submit their name, desired visa type, and email address under the banner “The Trump Card is Coming.”

Positioned as a premium version of the traditional green card, Trump has framed the initiative as a means to attract wealthy job creators while potentially reducing the national deficit. In February, he expressed hopes to sell “maybe a million” of the cards and did not exclude Russian oligarchs from eligibility.

The announcement coincides with intensified deportation raids across the U.S., which have sparked protests and legal challenges against the administration’s immigration policies. Trump has emphasized that the high-value visa would serve as a pathway to coveted U.S. citizenship, contrasting sharply with his administration’s broader crackdown on immigration.
